How Do We Verify Brokers

Brokers need to meet the following requirements to be part of the SmartTrader platform:

Regulated by known regulatory organizations

1. Provide DNS (Domain name servers) for their connections. Some brokers will only provide IPs and not DNS . As IPs often change this creates a situation where brokers can disconnect your account, and we are unable to reestablish a connection.
2. Support for Third Party Platforms - SmartTrader is not a broker. We also not an introducing broker. We allow the ability for you to connect your broker accounts. However if your broker is not able to support third party platforms this can make for an undesirable experience when placing your trades. We work with the brokers to make sure your trades are executed as you expect them to be if they are not able to provide us contact information we are unable to provide the best connection experience.
3. Customer Support --- Brokers that do not have a strong support network for their traders is a first sign of no regulations and potential issues. We look for a brokers to add to our platform who can support their traders.
4. Continuous positive track record - Brokers are reviewed just like any company is. If a broker is added to our platform and they continue to receive bad feedback or non responsive to traders. They are subject to be removed from the platform.

Our team researches each broker requested including contacting the broker directly. The review process can take 7-10 Business days and is dependent on the brokers response time. A broker request must have at least 5 upvotes on the feedback portal or directly reach out to our SmartTrader team.
